The 8th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) recently kicked off in Chongqing, bringing together diplomatic envoys, government and business leaders, and industry experts to focus on China-EU economic cooperation, new energy development, and regional manufacturing upgrades.
Shenzhen Vodofo Technology Co., Ltd. was cordially invited by the European Chamber of Commerce in China Southwest Chapter and Kyan Cultural Media (Beijing) Co., Ltd. to participate in this major event. Mr. Daniel Yan, Chairman of Vodofo, and Mr. Oscar Tang, Assistant to the Chairman, attended the international trade and investment discussions. Leveraging Vodofo's core strengths in IoT-intelligent hardware, they engaged with Western China's industrial opportunities to empower Chongqing's local motorcycle and new energy two-wheeler industries' digital go-global strategy.
The WCIFIT was officially opened by Mr. Huang Maojun, Vice Mayor of Chongqing, with speeches from representatives of the UK, South Korea, and Vietnam, as well as leading enterprises such as Siemens and China Reform Holdings. Mr. Yuan Jiajun, Party Secretary of Chongqing, delivered a keynote address and declared the fair open, injecting strong momentum into Western China's opening-up and China-EU industrial collaboration.
Key Discussion Points
Key discussions focused on deepening China-EU economic ties, the deployment of new energy vehicles, and the intelligent upgrading of Chongqing's motorcycle industry. As a national hub for motorcycle manufacturing with deep industrial heritage and strong overseas demand, Chongqing stands to benefit significantly from Vodofo's full range of IoT positioning terminals, which support motorcycles, shared e-mopeds, and new energy two-wheelers. With capabilities including precise positioning, remote risk control, BMS battery data integration, cloud-based intelligent management, and cross-border asset tracking, Vodofo provides a full-link digital solution to help local manufacturers navigate cross-border operations, overseas fleet management, and asset security.

Following the conclusion of the 8th WCIFIT, Mr. Daniel Yan and Mr. Oscar Tang were again invited to attend a special member meeting of the European Chamber of Commerce in China. There, they engaged in face-to-face discussions with Adam Dunnett, Secretary General of the European Chamber, representatives of leading German companies, and industry elites from multiple EU countries, further anchoring their focus on China-EU new energy mobility and IoT smart hardware international expansion.
Meeting Background
The European Chamber Southwest Chapter is the Chamber's third-largest regional chapter. Chongqing, as a key inland opening hub in Western China, is the EU's second-largest trading partner, with Germany as a core driver of Chongqing-EU industrial cooperation. The meeting centred on three major themes: China-EU economic and trade coordination, digitalization of new energy transport, and compliance in IoT global expansion, bringing together enterprises from Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and other European countries to establish a regular government-business dialogue platform.
Key Discussion Points

Vodofo's consecutive participation in the WCIFIT and the European Chamber member meeting marks a critical step from its domestic Western China market strategy toward deep integration into the EU industrial ecosystem. Leveraging the WCIFIT international platform, the official resources of the European Chamber, and Germany's high-quality industrial partners, the company will continue to strengthen China-EU technological collaboration in IoT and new energy mobility, further enhance its global market presence, and build a solid long-term foundation for Chinese IoT smart hardware to successfully enter the European market – jointly creating a new ecosystem for cross-border trade and smart mobility.
